The Proteus II is the highest performing wetsuit on the market. Available in 3mm and 5mm, the Proteus II is often the benchmark against which other wetsuits are compared for thermal insulation. Our suits are made from more environmentally friendly, eco-friendly limestone neoprene with Eco Carbon Black, which uses recycled tire rubber, reducing CO₂ emissions by 200g per suit. We also use water-based Aqua-X adhesives in the laminating and construction process of our wetsuits, eliminating the use of harmful substances.
By combining the renowned Hydrolock internal neck seal with Glideskin cuffs at the wrists, water ingress is minimised. The seams are double-taped, blind stitched and taped, providing exceptional thermal protection throughout the dive. Additional Hexcore linings in the torso area provide enhanced thermal performance where it is needed most, especially during prolonged exposure to water.
Slightly tighter cut than our regular suits, especially in the area of the seals, to reduce water penetration and achieve a semi-dry suit effect.
The 3mm suit is probably the only 3mm suit in the world that has such advanced features, allowing it to perform more like other 5mm suits, but with greater flexibility and reduced buoyancy. We recommend using it in water temperatures of 23°C (73°F) and above, but we know many divers who use it successfully in much colder waters. To get the best performance from any wetsuit in cold water, pair it with a Thermocline vest and pants worn underneath and use a hood (3mm or 5mm).
