The GSM Mercury is the latest OCEAN REEF underwater ultrasonic communication unit for integrated diving masks (IDM). It combines the advantages of previous models in a compact, foldable module with two earphones, clear digital audio, DAT hands-free mode and a rechargeable/replaceable battery. It mounts exclusively on masks equipped with the OCEAN REEF Extender Frame.

• Communications in three ways:

  • Ultrasonic wireless: permanent reception on Channel 1; PTT for transmission on Channel 1 (31.768 kHz).
  • Full-duplex wired: connect to the ALPHA PRO X DIVERS surface unit for simultaneous, hands-free talking/listening.
  • VHF interface: connection to a surface VHF radio via dedicated kit and waterproof case.
• Underwater plug-and-play wiring: six-pin waterproof connector allows cable connection/disconnection underwater.
• Permanent wireless reception: unit listens continuously on Channel 1; PTT activates transmission.
• D-Mic dynamic microphone with hydrophobic membrane: clear voice, reduced bubble noise; withstands pressure differences >14.7 PSI.
• NACS adjustable grip: comfortable positioning on OCEAN REEF Space/Neptune masks.
• Serviceable battery compartment: O-ring seal and replaceable 9V alkaline battery.
