The Dive Rite GX40 takes the powerful, compact light head of the FX40 Handheld Primary and combines it with an all-new, snap-on battery container. The GX40 delivers the same impressive 2400 lumens of output and 4-degree focused beam as the FX40, but with up to 3x the runtime of the handheld version. The compact light head is nearly unnoticeable on the back of your hand when in use. The low-profile, head-mounted piezo trigger ensures smooth operation with no moving parts. Constructed of CNC-machined acetal and aluminum with a Type III hard-anodized finish, the GX40 has a maximum operating depth of 500 ft (152 m).
The streamlined, latch-free canister uses a bayonet-type ring lock system. To release the cap when charging, press the locking pin, rotate the ring 30 degrees, and pull the cap straight out. The GX40 is available in two canister sizes and with a straight or 70-degree angled cable cap. The light includes a QRM elastic hand grip, battery charger, and padded carrying case. Made in the USA.
The 6.8 Ah canister is made up of two 4-cell 18650 battery packs, while the 10.2 Ah canister is made up of three similar packs. The packs are internal and are not connected to each other until the canister lid is mounted in the active position. In the transport position, the packs remain disconnected to prevent accidental activation. All battery options are UN 38.3 tested and are safe for air transport. Cable adapters are available with a straight cap or an optional 70° cap for better cable routing when mounting on the back or bottom. The straight cap has a 122 cm cable, and the 70° cap has a 152 cm cable.
