Using technology originally created for space exploration and cryogenics, HALO A°R gloves utilize the extreme insulation material A°RGON™ aerogel, integrated into a compression-resistant structure.

A°RGON™ is a form of aerogel developed for insulation in spacecraft and cryogenic applications due to its exceptional insulating properties. Traditionally, aerogel is created by removing the liquid from a gel and replacing it with air, resulting in a lightweight, porous and flexible structure. Originally tested over 10 years ago, this material compresses and degrades. A°RGON™ is a version encapsulated in a foam, which allows it to function effectively in the context of diving.

Thanks to its extraordinary insulating capacity, A°RGON™ allows the HALO A°R gloves to provide extreme thermal protection in a thinner, less buoyant product. The stretchy, wind- and water-resistant outer layer ensures all-day comfort.

A°RGON™ insulation is distributed throughout the glove, providing increased warmth without compromising mobility or creating additional bulk.
