Highly adaptable, self-contained, and ideal for travel, the O2ptima CM will redefine the way you think about rebreathers. The chest-mounted design attaches easily to almost any harness, making it compatible with your current open circuit setup – whether you’re sidemount diving, back-mounted doubles, or single tank diving. Any harness with two upper shoulder D-rings and two waist D-rings is compatible. Plus, the rebreather can be quickly attached or detached, even underwater.
The self-contained design uses an integrated oxygen cylinder, so you only need one external connection for diluent from your current gas source. Simply add a BC hose from the first floor to feed the CM unit and you're ready to dive.
This simplicity opens up a wide range of possibilities:
- Add it to your single tank setup for a deep dive in the morning, then remove it for a shallow reef dive in the afternoon.
- Use it in place of a stage cylinder for longer penetration in overhead environments while maintaining sufficient bailout gas.
- Detach it and position it underwater to navigate through narrow restrictions or for later decompression, then easily retrieve it upon return.
Weighing just 6.5 kg (without absorbent material and oxygen cylinder), the O2ptima CM is the perfect travel companion. The frameless design allows for easy rolling and storage in your carry-on luggage.
